Our Favorite Instagram Pics that Show Why Lil Nas X is Our Dreamboy

Lil Nas X, a.k.a., Montero, the sensational queer artist who never fails to break boundaries and entertain us, has entered his "Dreamboy" era.
This new era has the artist reaching new heights, feeling more free, and having more fun than ever before. We are watching Montero fall back in love with sharing his spectacular music and introducing us to his extraordinary visual storytelling, and we've been having so much fun seeing him enjoy the process of showing off everything he's doing.
We love to see the young queer creative absorb the spotlight that shines on him and make his own magic with it! Another thing we always love to see: Lil Nas X thirst traps. The "Light Again" artist drops them in a casual way, usually by way of shirtless mirror selfies as part of a carousel post, but sometimes his thirst traps are selfies from inside the bathtub, and sometimes it's a red hot, sweaty sauna pic that gets us feeling dizzy with desire.
He keeps us wanting more, while making sure we know he's both sexy and talented beyond belief. These are some of our favorites.
This sauna selfie is red hot in more ways than one. Yes, the room is filled with the red hues of the sweaty, sexy, shirtless artist soaking up all that healing light therapy –but it's also an angled-upwards look at his abs, defined and dripping from the heat, making us sweat without ever stepping foot in a heated room. This carousel post includes some pictures of Lil Nas X's home, and a shirtless mirror selfie where his abs look phenomenal, but we keep coming back to this first photo. It's just so hot.
We simply cannot look away from this photo. Between this slayful pose, his stand-out muscles, and the 'sex' belt buckle on his jeans, we're breathless just looking at it. One of the top comments says "it's giving BAWDY" which... exactly. Almost all the other comments on this post are just many, many fire emojis –which is so, so true.
This is one of his excited 'Dreamboy era incoming' announcements, where the young star pulled his car over on the road somewhere industrial-looking with a glorious sunset behind him. Lil Nas X's muscles look so defined that his abs blend with the superhuman futurist aesthetic of his custom helmet and totally convey the sexy, self-assured vibe he's been teasing for the album.
Lil Nas X captioned this post "Thirst trap on fuhhhk it thirst trap on main" and then casually dropped a series of mirror selfies wearing only grey briefs and a cheeky expression on his face; First pouting, then playfully posing with his tongue, teasing us, and finally, a selfie with the addition of a glitter face mask. No one's doing it like him!
As part of his "Dreamboy" rollout, we got this can't-look-away sexy car makeout album art for Lil Nas X's next single "Need Dat Boy." The boy in question in this steamy picture is out R&B musician and model Destin Conrad, who confirmed he was dating another man (as in, not Lil Nas X, no matter how hot they look together) at the time, and that this was just a job he was booked for, has been out and proud about being a new face of queer art and loves expressing all that being gay online and in the public eye means to him. We love that for him, just as much as we love how sizzling hot this photo is. We, too, need that boy! Both of them!
When the "Light Again" music video dropped, we got this picture of Lil Nas X looking radiant in a cabin's bathroom, which was one of the music video locations. His bleached blonde hair stands out, while his muscular arms are glowing and the silver mesh tanktop he's wearing sparkles in the light –all of this conspiring to make him look almost supernaturally beautiful, just as they do when he wears this outfit in the music video. In the video, Lil Nas X throws a wild house party that turns into a wilder warehouse party, with people having all kinds of hot fun; being wild, and free, and so thrilled to be partying with him.
The caption on this post ("Saw Adele or whatevaaaaa") is low key, the "Light Again" artist trying to be chilled about a situation which is the complete opposite of relaxed. Not only is seeing Adele in concert a very important life event, but the poses Montero's hitting in the mirror have us thinking all kinds of heated thoughts, and the way his belt frames his little waist in the chic fit he wore to watch the aforementioned superstar songstress... We couldn't ever feel low-key about this look in any way shape or form.
The thirst traps in this post include: A selfie taken while Montero is taking a bath, the foam dissipating and the queer star giving a sultry pout of his lips; A video of the icon looking blissed out in the club, a huge smile on his face and a lit sparkler in his mouth as he leans against a friend; The star showing us how good his shoulder length hair style looks; And a video of Lil Nas X on stage in a custom bedazzled football-inspired look, breathing hard and looking magnificent as he takes a moment to look out at the crowd and encourages them to join in singing along to his "Industry Baby" performance.
This life update post has Lil Nas X serving face, his skin glowing, showing off his angles and kissable lips. He's been doing a lot of very powerful reminding us that he looks fantastic wearing all shades of pink, and in this post he's paired that with showing off what looks to be upcoming merch: A closeup photo of his pants riding low, the white briefs he's wearing very visible, and the "Dreamboy" logo printed across its waistband. If we can't have him, we are absolutely gonna need to get our hands on some of these briefs!
