R&B Hottie Miguel Shares His Skincare Routine

Christopher Ehlers READ TIME: 15 MIN.

In anticipation of his forthcoming album "Viscera," Grammy winning R&B hunk Miguel has teamed up with British GQ to share the seven-step grooming routine that keeps him looking delicious.

In a video shared to his Instagram, the "Adorn You" singer shared his go-to skincare products, in addition to one ice cold ritual that he swears keeps his serotonin levels up. Here's what he uses:

"This is some fancy shit," Miguel says, "but just get you something that exfoliates." He uses this gentle exfoliator twice a week (you're free to exfoliate more or less frequently than that, just listen to your skin). This multi-action exfoliator utilizes both physical exfoliants (by way of Date Seeds and Bamboo Beads) and chemical exfoliants (Pineapple and Papaya Enzymes) which all work together to brighten skin, unclog pores, and polish skin texture. This product is also great because it's a cleanser and polish all in one, so you won't need to follow this with a separate cleanser. $25, Kaplan MD.

On days that he's not exfoliating, he cleanses his face with this dermatologist-loved cleanser by Environ. Miguel has sensitive skin, which is why this gentle, low foam option works well for his skin. "When you look good, you perform well," he says. "I mean, this shit feels great. It's like, you know, smooth. Man, it's so fresh and it's so clean!" $50, Paul Labrecque.

For his next step, he takes a page right out of the Joan Crawford playbook and dunks his face in a bowl of ice water for a total of three times, held underwater for 30 seconds each time. "This is awesome, especially if you had a long night, you had drinks with the boys, hot date," he says. "This is excellent to just kind of wake your body up and then just tighten up the skin so you get rid of any of the bloating residue from mezcals. This gonna hurt a bit, but it's gonna be good for you. Trust." The benefits of ice baths are well documented, even if it's just a blast of icy cold goodness for your face. Best of all? It's free.

"You're up, skin is tight, skin is clean. You wanna hit your skin with toner. For whatever reason, like even if I get a blemish or whatever, when it goes away it leaves a little bit of a mark. Using a toner helps like balance the skin out," he says. Miguel uses this Environ toner from his dermatologist, which is ultra-soothing and calming thanks to an array of 11 botanical extracts plus Niacinamide and a little Lactic Acid. $52, Paul Labrecque.

"Then I just hit with a good moisturizer," he says. "Yo, don't, don't rub, don't rub it in," he warns. "Like just you know, you want to the skin to absorb, absorb it all," he says as he pats the product into his face. "That's what you do." Combining a gentle mix of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and powerful antioxidants, this everyday moisturizer repairs, restores, and gives the skin a healthy-looking glow. As flawless as Miguel is, he left off one vital step to his daytime routine: Sunscreen. Don't make the same mistake! $80, .

In addition to having relatively flawless skin, Miguel is also one of the hunkiest men working in music today. No stranger to thirst traps, Miguel is known for being more than generous with showing a little skin. Here's a look back at some drool-worthy moments:
