The second season of HBO's massive hit "Big Little Lies" hasn't even aired yet but its star Nicole Kidman says she doubts a third season of the show, once a limited series, will happen.

The actor made her comments during an interview with Variety, in which she says getting everyone involved with "BLL" back together for a third installment would not be easy.

"I think it would simply be hard to get the whole group together. But we would love to do it," she said.

The "we" in this instance is some major talent: Kidman stars alongside Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Adam Scott and Alexander Skarsgard. Merely Streep will join the cast for Season 2. Behind the camera, the first season of the Emmy Award-winning series was penned for the small screen by TV veteran David E. Kelley (based on Liane Moriarty's book). Season 1 was directed by filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallee ("Dallas Buyers Club," "Sharp Objects") and Season 2 is helmed by director Andrea Arnold ("American Honey," "Transparent").

No airdate for "BLL" Season 2 has been announced but it's expected to debut sometime in 2019.
